Mogwai go dream-pop on new single "Party In The Dark"
Scottish post-rock titans Mogwai have shaken up their approach on rampaging rock number "Party In The Dark".
It's as thickly textured and immersive as ever, but with attention-grabbing pop hooks and a fucking massive chorus, it's far from the moody slow-burners many know them for. This is bright, hazy, and effortlessly infectious.
"Party In The Dark" is the follow up to "Coolverine", the lead single from upcoming Dave Fridmann-produced record Every Country's Sun - it's their first studio album since 2014's Rave Tapes (although OST record Atomic arrived last year).
Mogwai will headline Festival No. 6 in September as part of a massive tour, and end their jaunt with a hometown arena show in Glasgow.
