Modest Mouse cancel UK tour to record new album
Modest Mouse have had to cancel next month’s scheduled UK tour to focus on the recording of their upcoming new album.
The U.S indie band had originally planned on playing a series of European live dates throughout July, including shows in London, Brighton, Manchester, Bristol – among others, but now they’ve revealed these will no longer take place.
“After much thought, we have decided to cancel our EU/UK tour to continue work on our forthcoming album,” the band wrote in a statement to ATP. “We do appreciate our fans and promise that we will make it up to you next year.”
The record will be the band’s first since 2007′s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. It’s been confirmed that refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
