MNEK to host Pride writing camp with Olly Alexander, L Devine, and more
MNEK has announced a new LGBT+ music writing camp, which will feature appearances from Olly Alexander, L Devine, and more.
The writing camp has been announced in celebration of Pride in London next week, and will see MNEK host, and curate the event in collaboration with Pride in Music.
Artists such as Years & Years' Olly Alexander, L Devine, Ryan Ashley, Rina Sawayama, and Kloe will be appearing at the event, alongside producers Jon Shave, Leo Kalyan, and Sakima.
Speaking about the writing camp, MNEK says, "I’ve set up this camp to have a couple days specifically for Pride but to also invite some LGBT talent that I really rate to collaborate with each other. The community is so creative and full of really gifted writers and producers so I’m really excited that we are getting to come together, be there for each other and make music for this camp!"
The aim of the two-day event is to help LGBT+ songwriters create music, and give them a chance to work alongside established artists, producers, engineers, and writers.
