Minus The Bear make comeback with "Invisible", the first single from new album VOIDS
Minus The Bear are back with "Invisible", the first single from VOIDS, their first album in half a decade.
It's the group's sixth studio record in total, and sees them returning to original label Suicide Squeeze. Sam Bell (The Cribs, Bloc Party) is on production duties.
"There was a lot of change and uncertainty," says guitarist David Knudson. "I think the general vibe of emptiness, replacement, lacking, and longing to fill in the gaps was very present in everyone's minds."
"Before we went in the studio we had almost 40 parts to work from and ended up tracking 19 or 20 songs and widdled those down to the 10 that are on the record," Knudson told Noisey. "One of the hardest parts was figuring out what was going to make the cut because there were like 15 songs. The range of material was also really wide in scope so Sam was able to kind of find all the corners of where Minus The Bear operates from and then identify those so we could pick our best moments.
As well as the album and single, Minus The Bear have also detailed a lengthy 29-date US tour with support from Beach Slang and Bayonne. Find out more.
