Miley Cyrus performs cover of Cocteau Twins' "Heaven or Las Vegas"
As part of Miley Cyrus' performance at the Resorts World Grand Opening Ceremony on 4 July in Las Vegas, she performed a cover of Cocteau Twins' "Heaven or Las Vegas".
Cyrus is no stranger to covers, having recently covered songs such as Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", Cher's "Believe", Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You" and more, and over the weekend Cyrus delivered a live performance of Cocteau Twins' "Heaven or Las Vegas" as part of her 4 July Las Vegas set.
Prior to performing the song, Cyrus told the crowd, "I am gonna sing a song that no one fuckin’ knows, but you will know it after tonight. And I've seen the tweets 'stop doing covers' but yet somehow "Jolene" was requested, so, one for me, this one is called "Heaven or Las Vegas"."
According to Stereogum, Cyrus also performed a cover of "American Woman" by The Guess Who, "Heart of Glass" by Blondie and "Jolene" by her Godmother Dolly Parton.
