Miley Cyrus covers The Cure and The Cranberries during Save Our Stages Fest set

As part of her Save Our Stages Fest virtual performance over the weekend, Miley Cyrus covered tracks by The Cure and The Cranberries.

Over the weekend the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) partnered with YouTube to host a three-day virtual music festival to raise awareness and save music venues in the US from closure.

FINNEAS, Phoebe Bridgers, Gus Dapperton, Brittany Howard, Leon Bridges, Foo Fighters, Black Pumas, and Miley Cyrus played sets for the virtual festival.

Cyrus performed her show from West Hollywood's Whisky a Go Go venue on Saturday (17 October). She debuted a cover of The Cure's "Boys Don't Cry", her version of The Cranberries' "Zombie", and a full band performance of her huge "Midnight Sky" single.

Last week Cyrus gave an update on her Dua Lipa collaboration that will feature on her new album, saying fans can "expect something pretty soon".

Back in August Cyrus released "Midnight Sky" as the first single from her upcoming album, which, according to Jimmy Fallon, is titled She Is Miley Cyrus. A few weeks ago she revealed that Billy Idol and Dua Lipa will feature on her new album.

Miley Cyrus is yet to announce her new album.
