Mikal Cronin shares electrifying new single "I've Got Reason"
Mikal Cronin has shared new track "I've Got Reason", a heavier offering from his first album in four years, Seeker.
"I've Got Reason" is the third preview of Cronin's Seeker album, after last month's "Shelter" and August's lead single "Show Me".
Speaking about the fresh single, Cronin says, "This song runs through a mess of confusing interactions in a world that gets stranger all the time. Musically it's got some Beatles and some Nirvana, with a bendy mellotron line that helps tie the worlds together."
Cronin's new album Seeker will be his first since 2015's MCIII.
The demos of Seeker were created during a month-long solo visit to Idyllwild in southern California. Speaking about the process, Cronin explains, "It was so quiet and peaceful. I got weird looks at the store. I got bug bites that didn’t heal for months. I walked around a small lake a few times. I wrote. I took literally something that’s usually a hypothetical, something every artist thinks about doing. It worked."
