Mikaela Davis announces debut album Delivery
Rochester, NY-based singer/songwriter Mikaela Davis has announced debut record Delivery and shared a video for the stunning title track.
Mike Turzanski directs the visuals for "Delivery", a winding, piano-led number with introspective Americana motifs and big hymnal melodies.
Multi-instrumentalist Davis, who's toured with Bon Iver and Marco Benevento (among others) and studied classical harp at a music conservatory, wrote and co-wrote almost all of the record on piano and harp. The only track to deviate from this formula is "Emily", which was written by long-time friend and bandmate Alex Coté.
Delivery is produced with John Congleton (St. Vincent, Future Islands). The Staves contribute to the aforementioned "Emily" and fellow album cut "Pure Divine Love".
Davis has a few dates in Europe over the coming months (including at The Great Escape in May) - find out more.
