Metronomy and Idles lead the line up for Simple Things Festival 2017
Simple Things Festival is back for its seventh year, with the likes of Metronomy and Idles leading the line up.
Taking place at venues across Bristol in October, the festival is a celebration of all things bright and brilliant in music. Metronomy have been announced as Friday night headliners, performing at the Simple Things Opening Concert at Motion on Friday 20 October.
Saturday 21 October will see the city play host to a variety of acts, with Daphni, Idles, Nadie Shah, and (Sandy) Alex G leading the first announcement. They will be joined by Clark, Juan Atkins, Shackleton, GAIKA, Jlin, The Bug ft. Miss Red, Jane Weaver, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Marie Davidson, Lorenzo Senni, Shanti Celeste, Childhood, Binh, Carla dal Forno, Diet Cig, Sassy J, Intergalactic Gary, TRAAMS, Willow, Kelly Lee Owens, Inga Mauer, Oliver Wilde, Roi Perez, Warmduscher, Gramrcy, Children of Leir, and the London Astrobeat Orchestra performing Talking Heads.
The day will also feature a label showcase with Brooklyn-based dancehall specialists Mixpak, led by their boss Dre Skull.
Sunday 22 October will see the city host a finale "with very special guests" held at Bristol's renowned Colston Hall.
With more acts to be added over the coming weeks, Simple Things looks set to take the city by storm.
