Methyl Ethel sign to Future Classic and share new single "Neon Cheap"
Methyl Ethel are back with news that they've signed to Future Classic, and have released new single "Neon Cheap" to celebrate the news.
"Neon Cheap" is Methyl Ethel's first outing of 2021, following last year's "Holy Days" track that landed in June.
Methyl Ethel's Jake Webb says of the new release, "Picture yourself scrolling, mind-numbingly at 3am. Now, instead of scrolling, you’re traipsing some Vegas-like strip. All the events and people you’d normally read about are there as you walk around, inoculated, casually observing. For me, this is "Neon Cheap"."
Speaking about the signing, Nathan McLay - Future Classic’s CEO and Founder - says, "Methyl Ethel is an iconic part of the Australian music landscape. We're delighted to be working with Jake in this vital period of his art practice."
They're yet to follow up last year's Hurts To Laugh EP.
