Methyl Ethel sign to 4AD, reveal "Idée Fixe" visuals
Australian trio Methyl Ethel have shared their visuals for latest single "Idée Fixe".
The band are the latest addition's to 4AD's magnificent roster, and their debut record Oh Inhuman Spectacle is out now digitally. Olivier Groulx (Arcade Fire, alt-J) has directed the video for "Idée Fixe", which is the LP's opening number.
Perth-based multi-instrumentalist/mainman Jake Webb wrote, played, and recorded all that you'll find on the band's first album, and has grown the project from bedroom experiments into a fully fledged live force.
Methyl Ethel, alongside compatriots Courtney Barnett and Tame Impala, are shortlisted for the 2016 Australian Music Prize.
Oh Inhuman Spectacle is out now on 4AD. Physical versions will be available in May.
