Mercury Rev share their visuals for latest single "Coming Up For Air"
Mercury Rev have released the video for new single "Coming Up For Air", the latest to be taken from last year's The Light In You.
Jonathan Caouette has directed the clip, and he says:
“I am so proud and geeked out to… be able to do something for Mercury Rev, who I have adored for many years. The music video for 'Coming Up For Air', is just one part of a mildly bigger project to come… and it's been one of the utmost coolest music video/films that I have ever had an opportunity to work on. The video as a whole is inspired by one part, my love for this made for TV movie from the 1970's called The Bermuda Depths and one part Sigmund Freud's existential requiem, 'On Transience'. I feel like the end result is on par to something kind of cool and ambiguous and hallucinatory-like.”
The Light In You is out now.
