Mercury Prize 2015 shortlist revealed
The full Mercury Prize shortlist has been revealed, with Aphex Twin, Wolf Alice, and Róisín Murphy leading the way.
The names were revealed on Lauren Laverne's BBC 6 Music show this morning (16 October).
Judges for this year's gong include Corinne Bailey Rae, Nick Mulvey, Anna Calvi, and MistaJam. Albums released between 9 September 2014 and 25 September 2015, from British and Irish artists, are eligible to be nominated for the prize, which also comes with a £20,000 cash injection.
Young Fathers scooped the 2014 award for their record DEAD, beating the likes of Damon Albarn, FKA Twigs, and Royal Blood.
The award will be revealed on 20 November at a special ceremony.
