Melt Yourself Down's new video takes on the global weapons trade
Melt Yourself Down have revealed their oil-soaked visuals for latest single "Jump The Fire" on Best Fit.
The track appears on the band's recent LP Last Evenings On Earth. Vocalist Kushal Gaya describes the song as being "about observing someone else firewalk their way through a very tense and tortuous period of their life."
"It’s a subversive take on the global weapons trade, topped with dripping oil," says the video's director William Simpson. "A plea to stop arming and killing one another, before we choke ourselves to death on greed, power and violence.”
It's a visceral clip that blurs the line between oil and blood - in black and white they look awfully similar - with gruesome close ups and an innovative look at light and shadow.
