Melody's Echo Chamber cancels tour after suffering "serious accident"
Melody Prochet, the driving force behind Melody's Echo Chamber, has cancelled all upcoming shows after suffering a "serious accident".
UPDATE: An updated statement from Prochet's family confirms that the artist has suffered a brain aneurysm and broken vertebrae, with "surgery still to be done". Exactly how the injuries were sustained has not been made public.
A statement posted by her family originally read: "We are optimistic, but she needs to be in the hospital for a few more months... due to these circumstances, Melody’s upcoming Tour has been cancelled. But she is hopeful to be able to play shows again soon. Thank you for your support."
Dates affected include shows in North and South America.
In April Prochet shared "Cross My Heart" and detailed new LP Bon Voyage, which was her first new material since one-off single "Shirim" arrived in 2014.
Bon Voyage is the long-awaited follow up to Prochet's 2012 debut, produced with Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker.
