Snoochie Shy, Melody Kane, Jeremiah Asiamah and Kenny Allstar join 1Xtra
BBC Radio 1Xtra has announced four new DJs with Jeremiah Asiamah, Melody Kane, Kenny Allstar and Snoochie Shy joining 1Xtra’s Residency which champions the next generation of new DJ talent.
The four names will appear on rotation over a six month period.
Jeremiah Asiamah has made regular appearances on 1Xtra over the past year with Toddla T, Charlie Sloth, Sian Anderson and more - will host the weekly show from Wednesday, 29 November - Wednesday, 3 January (11pm-1am) before appearing on rotation with his 2018 residents.
Also joining the New Year line up will be SBTV's Melody Kane (starting Wednesdaym 3 January), who has developed a solid reputation on the club scene in recent years with her mixes for 1Xtra with Charlie Sloth, MistaJam and DJ Target, whilst Kenny Allstar (starting Wednesday 10 January) - a growing name on the DJ circuit through his Mad about Bars online series which showcases some of the freshest names from the UK Rap scene – will also host his own monthly residency.
Completing the line-up is DJ, model and presenter, Snoochie Shy (starting Wednesday, 17 January), who made her name in London as the voice of Radar Radio's breakfast slot on Mondays through Wednesdays.
