Megan Thee Stallion claims Tory Lanez caused her gunshot wounds
Megan Thee Stallion has claimed that her gunshot wounds were caused by Canadian rapper Tory Lanez.
Last month, Megan Thee Stallion revealed she "suffered gunshot wounds", and added that she was "incredibly grateful to be alive". She later revealed that she was shot in both feet, and said she "had to get surgery to get the shit taken out, get the bullets taken out, and it was super scary."
Tory Lanez was arrested shortly after the incident for possession of a concealed weapon in an SUV.
During an Instagram Live last night (20 August), Megan Thee Stallion set the record straight and called out Tory Lanez for causing her gunshot wounds. She said, "Yes this n***** Tory shot me. You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and shit. Stop lying. Why lie? I don't understand."
She continued, "I tried to keep the situation off the internet, but you’re dragging it. You really fuckin' dragging it."
The Houston rapper goes on to reveal that the incident happened after an argument started in a car between Tory Lanez, his security and her friend. She adds, "I get out the car, I'm done arguing. I don’t want to argue no more, I get out. I’m walking away. This n***** from out the backseat of the car, started shooting me. You shot me! I didn't get cut by no glass."
Megan Thee Stallion also reveals that she played down the initial situation because of ongoing issues with police violence, "You think I’m about to tell the police that we, us black people, that we’ve got a gun in the car. You want me to tell them we’ve got a gun in the car so they can shoot all of us up ... I didn't tell the police what happened immediately right then because I didn't want to die."
Megan Thee Stallion confirms Tory Lanez shot her, reveals the rapper is not in jail because she didn’t tell police about his involvement:
