Max Tundra shares Katie Dey cover of "Will Get Fooled Again"
Max Tundra has released Katie Dey's version of his Parallax Error Beheads You song "Will Get Fooled Again", which features on his upcoming Remixtape out next month.
Katie Dey's cover of Max Tundra Parallax Error Beheads You track "Will Get Fooled Again" is the second outing from his Remixtape, following last month's A. G. Cook remix of "Lights".
Dey said of the cover, "I was so honoured to messily cover this exceedingly complex song and i'm grateful ben trusted me enough to apply my degenerate style to something so precious."
Max Tundra, real name Ben Jacobs added, "I was stoked to hear Katie Dey repurpose "Will Get Fooled Again" into this absolute monster of a track. It sounds like a spinning, glittering, otherworldly being, whirring around, smashing up a sweet shop - and I am totally here for it."
Remixtape will accompany reissues of Max Tundra's Some Best Friend You Turned Out to Be, Mastered by Guy at the Exchange and Parallax Error Beheads You albums, and will feature contributions from Kero Kero Bonito, BABii, Julia Holter and more.
Jacobs, said of the mixtape last month, "Much has taken place since my albums emerged at the beginning of the 21st century, though my heart still swells when I play them again. I thought it would be highly appropriate to refresh some of these songs by enlisting the services of a handful of exciting modern musicians, inviting each of them to choose their favourites from the album tracks. I'm thrilled to hear these repurposed tracks, each fizzing and popping with vitality and spark. I also wanted to reinterpret one of the tracks myself - redressing the hectic original in piano-based attire. I enjoy playing the tracks off against their remixed versions, and it is pleasing how much they complement each other."
