Matthew Dear has recruited longtime pals Tegan and Sara for "Bad Ones", his second new single of the summer.
"Bad Ones" follows on from June jam "Modafinil Blues", Dear's first new material as Matthew Dear since 2012 LP Beams.
"[It's about] the relief in finding someone who loves the more complicated parts of you," says Tegan and Sara's Sara Quin of the new single.
"The process was open and free," adds Dear. "Often times, we need to get out of our own way to let the magic happen, and this song is a bold reminder of that."
Dear has also announced a new headline show at London's Moth Club on 21 October - his first in the city since 2013.
