As he drops his third album Good Morning It's Now Tomorrow, we catch up with Doja Cat and Charli XCX-cosigned songwriter Matt Maltese for a performance of album track "We Need To Talk".
The 23-year-old South London artist's sound has gone through a transformation on the new record, with a greater emotive lean. "“A lot of this record is escapism,” Maltese has said. “I’ve had to find more meaning out of the small parts of life. I want this record to celebrate the theatre in all the small things. It’s so cheesy to say it, but I think life is best when you try to make the ordinary extraordinary.” Watch the session below.
