Massive Attack release new EP featuring Tricky, Young Fathers, and more
Massive Attack have revealed their new Ritual Spirit EP, featuring founding member Tricky, and a whole host of other guests.
Earlier this month the trio unveiled their "sensory music player" Fantom, which featured clips of new music that would shift and alter based on your surroundings and internal workings.
The Ritual Spirit short-player features Roots Manuva, Mercury-winning hip-hop troup Young Fathers, and R&B crooner Azekel. It's produced by 3D (Robert del Naja) and frequent collaborator Euan Dickinson.
A second EP from Massive Attack - written and co-produced by the outfit's Daddy G - will arrive in Spring. A new full-length record is expected later this year.
As well as the EP, the trip-hop pioneers have shared a video for lead single "Take It There", directed by Hiro Murai and starring Oscar-nominated actor John Hawkes.
The Ritual Spirit EP is out now via Virgin/EMI. Stream it below, and then watch the "Take It There" video after.
