Massive Attack launch "sensory music player" Fantom
Massive Attack have released a new app called Fantom, which is described as a "sensory music player".
Fantom also features brand new music from Massive Attack.
Elaborating on the innovative premise, the press release states that Fantom "remixes and reforms songs uniquely using a variety of environmental variables including location, movement, time of day, heartbeat and the integral moving image camera."
As well as the constantly shifting noises, Fantom lets users "create and record unique audio-visual clips which can be shared and saved and easily shared via socials, SMS and peer-to-peer channels."
Fantom was developed with Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja and uses customised data, like heart rate, as well as location, time, surroundings (via the camera) and more. You can also hear the original versions of tracks.
Fantom is available for free on the iTunes App Store, now.
Find out more on the Fantom website.
