Massive Attack recruit Ghostpoet and Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval for new singles
Massive Attack have joined together with Ghostpoet for newest single "Come Near Me", which has been given a superb new video.
As well as the collaboration with Ghostpoet, Massive Attack have also lifted the lid on "The Spoils", a second new single featuring the vocal talents of Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval.
The "Come Near Me" clip stars Kosovan actress Arta Dobroshi, and is directed by Ed Morris. It follows the band's excellent short films for tracks from their recent Ritual Spirit EP, including "Take It There" starring John Hawkes, "Voodoo In My Blood" starring Rosamund Pike, and "Ritual Spirit" starring Kate Moss.
The band have today released these two new tracks, which appeared earlier this week on their Fantom app. "Dear Friend", a third track which appeared on the app, has not yet been given a separate release.
Massive Attack are headed to a bunch of festivals this year - they've already played London's BST Hyde Park series, and will pop back to Bristol this summer for a long-awaited homecoming extravaganza.
