Mars Volta unreleased demo collection surfaces online
Some unheard tracks from now-defunct experimental-prog outfit The Mars Volta have been uncovered by a fan of the band.
A user on the group’s message board last week claimed that he’d been sent an email with the aforementioned songs attached, along with the caption: “Share this”.
As FACT note, the 15-track collection has since been confirmed to be the real deal by drummer Thomas Prigen, with the demos available for free downloading here. Its tracklist is as below.
The band, consisting of Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López split back in January, with the latter since pursuing new venture Bosnian Rainbows.
