Marina & The Diamonds drops "I'm A Ruin" video
Last week, Marina & The Diamonds unveiled the fourth cut from upcoming record FROOT, and now she's providing us with the track's visual counterpart.
The track merges striking melancholia with party anthemics, making a wonderfully contrasting chunk of noise - that chorus features earworms you'll want to get a specialist to take a look at - and Marina Diamandis has wildly suceeded in crafting something that matches the quality of the music. Directed by Markus Lundqvist, we see Diamandis performing some kind of interpretive dance in a barren wasteland as the majestic sun sets.
You can read our world exclusive interview with Marina & The Diamonds here, where she discusses the creation of FROOT, the death of Electra Heart, and learning to find herself as both a person and an artist.
FROOT is released 6 April via Atlantic Records. If you pre-order now, you'll receive "FROOT", "Immortal", "Happy" and "I'm A Ruin" - along with the next two 'Froots', when they're released - as instant grats.
