Marika Hackman's debut album finally hits shelves on Monday (16 February), but before that, she's ready to tease our ears one last time.
One of these, "Skin" - featuring the vocal stylings of pal Sivu - has been tried and tested on the road for a while. It's more of what you might expect from Hackman, compared to "Animal Fear" at least. The other, "Claude's Girl", mines a jazzy 3/4 rhythm and buoyant trad. folk pulse - it's a slightly warped acoustic number that would sit well on the soundtrack to Midnight In Paris (the modern day bits, of course).
We Slept At Last is out on 16 February via Dirty Hit.
