Marie Dahlstrom announces new EP with first single "He Is"
Marie Dahlstrom has returned with news of her upcoming EP Safe Place, and has shared new single "He Is" as a first taster.
"He Is" is the first new outing from the Danish singer/songwriter and producer since teaming up with Dan Diggas and Aligo on January's 4inARow EP.
Dahlstrom says of the new song, "I wanted to make a song for my son that he can always listen back to, with the feel of a lullaby or a hymn. I wrote "He Is" when I was around 30 weeks pregnant on the piano in my parents house. Now that he’s been born the song has become even more meaningful to me."
She adds of the EP, "I wrote this EP during lockdown. This was a special time in my life, where everything shifted in a way. I was moving out of my apartment in London, the only place I'd ever lived since I moved. There were no gigs or concerts, society was (and still is) in a strange place, and then there was coronavirus and my pregnancy. It gave me a lot of time to reflect about what really matters and just how lucky we are to be living and experiencing this life."
