Nick Cave, members of Portishead, Anna Calvi & more to feature on Marianne Faithfull's new album
Iconic singer/songwriter/actress Marianne Faithfull, whose musical career began some 50 years ago, has announced she’ll be releasing a new album Give My Love to London in September.
The LP boasts some impressive collaborators. It was produced by Rob Ellis and Dimitri Tikovoi, who also serve as Faithfull’s backing band along with Portishead’s Adrian Utley and Ed Harcourt, with certain tracks featuring guest spots from Warren Ellis and Jim Slavunos of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
Though Faithfull wrote the album’s lyrics, the music came from Nick Cave, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, Anna Calvi, Steve Earle and Tom McRae.
This fall, Faithfull will begin a world tour in support of Give My Love to London, which is due out this September.
