Synthpop two-piece Mano’s Daughter, comprising Sarah Carter and Matthias Garrick, jet off to intergalactic locales in their new AV delight for “You”.
Matching the ballroomtronica of the cut, Sam Ballard’s animation sees a lovelorn hero (dressed as either Steve McQueen in Easy Rider or Fry from Futurama) escape to outer space in a vain attempt to escape heartache. It’s simultaneously sweet and surreal, wielding a faint Miyazaki aroma.

“You” is take from Mano’s Daughter’s upcoming Shiver EP, released 22 September on Smart & Shiver.
