Manchester's MEN Arena renamed 'Phones 4U Arena'
Northern venue, the Manchester Evening News Arena has experienced a name change following a multi-million pound deal with telecoms company Phones 4U.
As you might have guessed, the sponsorship deal means that the renowned music and entertainment venue will now be called the ‘Phones 4U Arena’.
“It wasn’t just a question of taking a cheque to put someone’s name above the door,” said SMG Europe’s regional vice-president John Knight on the news. ”There have been other offers on the table from local and national firms, but we believe Phones 4u has the right demographic for our business and will engage our customers, as well as allowing us to engage with their millions of customers.”
The rebranding will be implemented in due course, with additional refurbishments planned too.
