
Makaya McCraven announces reimagined version of Gil Scott-Heron's I'm New Here

For the 10th anniversary of I’m New Here, Makaya McCraven will be releasing a new interpretation of Gil Scott-Heron's final album.
The reimagined version of Gil Scott-Heron's I'm New Here is titled We’re New Again, and was recorded and produced at McCraven's Chicago home studio.
I'm New Here was previously remixed into We’re New Here by Jamie xx in 2011.
Scott-Heron's final album was also his first album in 13 years. It was first conceptualised in 2005, and recording commenced in NYC in 2008.
