Madlib and Four Tet are back with "Dirtknock", the third track to be shared from their collaborative album Sound Ancestors.
"Dirtknock" lands as Madlib's second release of 2021, following "Hopprock", which will also feature on Sound Ancestors alongside last year's lead outing "Road Of The Lonely Ones".
Sound Ancestors was recorded in LA "over the course of some years", and although it'll be released under Madlib's name, Four Tet, real name Kieran Hebden, edited, arranged and mastered the tracks on the album.
When announcing the album last month, Hebden revealed he was sent "hundreds of pieces of music over a couple of years".
"Dirtknock" is out now. Madlib and Four Tet's Sound Ancestors album will arrive 29 January via Madlib's Madlib Invazion label, and is available to pre-order now.
