Mad Cool Festival 2021 postponed to 2022
Organisers of Madrid's Mad Cool Festival have released a statement confirming that this year's fifth edition has been postponed until 2022 due to "the current force majeure circumstances".
Mad Cool 2021 was due to take place from 7-10 July, but today (20 May) the festival has been postponed for a second consecutive year.
In a statement posted to socials, organisers wrote, "Due to the current force majeure circumstances that you are all already aware of, we must let you know that our 5th anniversary of Mad Cool Festival is postponed until 2022."
"It has been a very painful decision to come to, as our desire (and probably yours) was to find ourselves all together again at Mad Cool in 2021," the statement continued. "However, we would like to let you know, we think this is the appropriate, sensible and right decision to make. Health is more important than anything. We are already working to be able to come back with an even better and more exciting festival at Mad Cool 2022. It will be a memorable event."
Tickets for the 2021 edition of the festival will be valid for the new dates in 2022, and the line-up for next year's festival will be announced before 7 July. The statement added, "we are keeping as many Artists as we can from 2021 and also adding some new ones so we can have the best line-up ever."
We are sorry to announce that once again we are forced to postpone our 5th anniversary.
