Mac DeMarco crowdsurfed to success at End Of The Road
When he played the festival in 2015 his performance ended in a food fight. Last night Mac DeMarco performed a headline set that brought the End Of The Road celebration to fever pitch.
Swigging from a bottle of wine between songs and leading the crowd in "YORKSHIRE" chants (because why not?), Mac DeMarco was every bit the charismatic frontman. Performing a cover of Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" where every lyric is "making my way down town" alongside an elated rendition of The Champs' "Tequila", the sense of celebration was nothing short of electric.
Cigarettes were sparked en mass during "Ode To Viceroy", people swayed and swooned their way through "My Kind Of Woman", and through it all Mac DeMarco mastered the chaos. Crowdsurfing away from the stage all the distance to the Big Top where Pond were about to play, the headline set was a non-stop celebration of the most intoxicating kind.
