Lucy Dacus wraps up 2019 EP with new track "Fool's Gold"
Lucy Dacus has shared the final track from her 2019 EP, an original song titled "Fool's Gold".
"Fool's Gold" is released to celebrate the approach of the New Year.
The original track follows on from Dacus' previous 2019 singles/covers, including Wham!'s "Last Christmas", Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight", Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In The Dark". "Forever Half Mast", "My Mother & I" and her cover of Edith Piaf’s "La Vie En Rose".
Speaking about her final 2019 track, Dacus says, "I started writing "Fool's Gold" the moment after the last person left a New Year's Eve party I hosted in 2018. I did what I said - drank the last of the champagne alone, felt anxious, and locked the door behind everyone. New Year's has grown to be my favorite holiday, and this may be my favorite song on the EP."
