Lucy Dacus shares glorious cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark"
Lucy Dacus celebrates the birthdays of her Father and Bruce Springsteen with a brilliant cover of The Boss' "Dancing in the Dark".
"Dancing in the Dark" is the fourth single from Dacus' holiday-themed singles series, 2019, after "Forever Half Mast", "My Mother & I" and her cover of Edith Piaf’s "La Vie En Rose".
Speaking about the new cover, Dacus explains, "Happy birthday to Bruce, but also happy birthday to my dad, the biggest Bruce fan I know and the reason I've listened to The Boss since birth. I resisted it when I was younger as a rebellion to my dad's taste, but I have come to love his music on my own time. His lyricism is embedded in my own songwriting inextricably at this point."
Dacus' 2019 project will also include singles for Halloween, Christmas, and New Year's.
