Love Actually writer's son Spike Curtis joins Dave to perform "Thiago Silva" at Coachella 2022
Spike Curtis, the son of Love Actually writer Richard Curtis, became the new Alex From Glastonbury over the weekend by joining Dave to play "Thiago Silva" at Coachella.
During Dave's Coachella 2022 performance over the weekend he once again got the crowd involved by inviting a fan up to perform "Thiago Silva". "Thiago Silva" has been a fan favourite at Dave's show for years, with one lucky fan becoming known as Alex From Glastonbury after sailing through the track at the legendary festival in 2019.
It seems there's a new Alex From Glastonbury now though, as Spike Curtis, the son of screenwriter, producer and film director Richard Curtis (Love Actually, War Horse, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason) joined Dave onstage for a performance of the track, becoming Spike From Coachella. When introducing himself to the crowd, Spike said, "My name is Spike I'm from London."
On Twitter, Spike's sister Scarlett Curtis wrote, "That. Is. My. Brother. Spike. At. Coachella WITH DAVE! He’s 18. He has school at 8am tomorrow. He was picked out of the crowd. We have never seen him rap before…."
