Lost David Bowie album Toy to get official release
A "lost" David Bowie album from 2001 titled Toy is set to get an official release as part of Bowie's Era Five box set.
As NME notes, Toy was originally due to follow-up Bowie's 1999 album Hours, and included a variety of re-recorded versions of songs from the beginning of his career.
The album was reportedly shelved following a dispute between Bowie and Virgin, and he ended up releasing Heathen in 2002.
Bowie's Toy album was apparently leaked online a decade ago, and this year it'll get an official release as part of his Era Five box set.
A post shared on Bowie's Twitter read: "Depending where you are on the planet, if it’s 29th September you might be streaming the radio edit of "You've Got A Habit Of Leaving" from the forthcoming Toy album, via your favourite streaming service. More details regarding that and the rest of the Era Five box, later today."
