Los Campesinos! frontman appointed judge at British Comic Awards 2013
Singer and frontman of Cardiff-based sixpiece Los Campesinos!, Gareth David (otherwise known as Gareth Campesinos!) has been announced as one of the judges at this year’s British Comic Awards.
Gareth joins the likes of Father Ted writer Graham Linehan, comedian Josie Long and TV personality Lenny Henry on this list, with each hand-picked by a committee for their “ability to view the medium critically as works of art and entertainment from their point of view as successful professionals in their respective creative fields”.
Gareth said of the news: “It’s a very surreal honour to be asked to perform a role whereby you judge the worth of somebody else’s art, but one which I am very honoured to have been asked to take on.”
