Lorde is posting on her onion rings Instagram account again

After reactivating her onion ring reviewing Instagram page late last year, Lorde has reviewed her first onion ring in just over four months, after eating at Hotel Ponsonby in New Zealand.

Over three years ago Lorde had to come clean on Jimmy Fallon after rumours suggested she ran an Instagram account for reviewing onion rings. The rumours turned out to be true, and in December last year Lorde reactivated her onion ring reviewing page, and shared four posts on the same day.

Last night (26 April) a new post appeared on the @onionringsworldwide Instagram, marking Lorde's first onion ring review in just over four months. The caption reads, "Yoosh lads back with another ring post... these were from the Hotel Ponsonby establishment, we’re talking PICKLED onion rings which is a first for this reviewer. I totally vibe the concept - used to eat pickled onions out of the jar as a youngster - however I think if you’re gonna go there, go there, and let acidity rather than sweetness dominate. Absolutely sensational batter, perhaps the best I’ve tried. 4/5 overall ringsperience."

Her return to reviewing onion rings comes after Lorde joined Marlon Williams onstage in Auckland for a Bruce Springsteen cover last month.

Lorde hasn't released new music since her 2017 album Melodrama, but did reveal in December last year that her long-awaited third album does have a title, which is inspired by her 2019 Antarctica trip.
