Loop playing first show in 23 years under fake name
ATP recently announced a takeover of East London’s Netil House, with little-known band “Soundheads” kicking things off on 18 November. Now it’s been revealed that this group is actually the recently-reformed Loop under a pseudonym.
Having already confirmed an appearance at ATP’s End of an Era weekender later this month, the group will also play four shows in Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh and Brighton during December. This warm-up show on Monday at Netil House, though, will be their first in 23 years.
“We are very happy to be playing a series of shows in smaller venues to start the reformation of Loop. Next year, it will be on a bigger scale, so this is brilliant opportunity for us to play a number of intimate concerts to stretch our legs after 23 years of being away,” Robert Hampson said of the announcement.
