Lone Wolf announces last-ever show, releases video for "Get Rough"
Lone Wolf, AKA Leeds' Paul Marshall, has announced his final gig as Lone Wolf, and shared the video for new single "Get Rough".
The track is taken from his recent critically-acclaimed album Lodge. He has also announced two dates with Wild Beasts for next month.
In a statement, which you can read in full here, Marshall said:
"I've made no secret about the fact that I think it is time to shed the Lone Wolf guise. I have had 5 bizarre years using this moniker, of which sadly it often felt that the down outnumbered the ups. However, I have always stayed true to everything i have ever wanted to do musically with no compromises. I'm happy to say that I am going to leave behind the Lone Wolf name having made the record that I always hoped i'd have the guts to make. I care about it with all of my heart, and I see no better time to shed the Lone Wolf name and become reacquainted with the guy beneath it all. The guy who actually made that record. Me. Paul Marshall. So I can't keep talking about it. It has to happen sometime, and so for me, there was no better place to give Lone Wolf a send off than my other spiritual musical home, The Brudenell Social Club in my home town of Leeds on 12th September 2015. I'd be honoured if you'd come and share this evening with me."
