London's Wide Awake Festival to kick off its first year in 2020
London's Brockwell Park is getting a new event in 2020 called Wide Awake Festival.
A new London fesrival for 2020 has appeared as an event on Facebook. The event description reads: "Wide Awake, is a festival for music fans looking for something different. Expect leftfield Indie, Post Punk, Electronica, Techno, Jazz and more from an array of artists you won’t find anywhere else at a festival in London."
The new festival is put together by Bad Vibrations, LNZRT and Snap Crackle & Pop.
While the lineup is yet to be announced, Wide Awake Festival aims to be environmentally-friendly by burying zero waste in landfill sites, leaving no trace of litter, banning single-use plastic across the site, only using compostable packaging and cutlery, providing ethically-sourced food, operate a cup deposit scheme, recycle all trader and back-of-house waste, and to only permit biodegradable stage effects.
