London's Union Chapel to host Napoleon IIIrd installation
Napoleon IIIrd, feted electro-experimentalist, while working on the follow-up to his lauded second record Christiana, has found time to create a sound installation at the Union Chapel.
The installation will take place as part of the Union Chapel's Open House this weekend (20-21 September). Collaborating with Johanna McCormick and Tom Rogerson (Three Trapped Tigers) Napoleon IIIrd has ssampled the sounds of the chapel, the regular gig-goers and the voices of those supported by the venue's Margin Project, which is tackling homelessness. The weekend is free, but charitable donations are accepted.
Funded by the Arts Council, the aims of the installation are "to connect the experience of Margins Project participants with the public visiting the building throughout the Open House Weekend, serving to increase public awareness of this important work."
