London's Nordic club night Ja Ja Ja unveils its November line up
With last month’s edition having sold out two weeks ahead the show date, we’re very excited to announce that London’s premier Nordic showcase and The Line of Best Fit’s sister site and night Ja Ja Ja has unveiled a spectacular line up for its November edition. And not only will we be turning out to celebrate Nordic music in its finest form, but it also happens to be Ja Ja Ja’s third birthday!
To celebrate, Denmark’s MØ, Finland’s Sin Cos Tan and Norwegians HighasaKite will all be winging their way to London to perform at this special monthly showcase
Ja Ja Ja will take place on Thursday 29 November at its home of The Lexington. Tickets are £5 in advance and can be purchased here, and for more information on the event, head over to Ja Ja Ja November’s Facebook page.
MØ
Copenhagen’s Karen Marie Ørsted, also known as MØ, had only released two tracks online before becoming the talk of the town. Mixing silky smooth vocals with R’n’B swagger, irresistible catchiness with electro leanings, MØ’s understatedly cool style will be the perfect way to lead the birthday procession.
Sin Cos Tan
The uniting of two of our favourite Finnish musical forces has led to the creation of Sin Cos Tan, an electronic duo featuring the talents of legendary DJ/producer Jori Hulkkonen and Villa Nah’s Juho Paalosmaa. The result? A masterful, laid back yet heady culmination of two of Finland’s most exciting music minds.
HighasaKite
Releasing their debut album All That Floats Will Rain through Norway’s Riot Factory earlier this year, Oslo’s HighasaKite have already succeeded in wooing audiences in their homeland as well as at Iceland Airwaves and Berlin Music Week. Their engrossing live show overflows with endearing energy and passion, with singer Ingrid Helene’s vocals shifting from delicate and lovelorn to powerful and majestic within seconds. 2013′s sure to be a big year for this collective, so make sure to catch them now.
