London's KOKO venue to reopen in spring 2022 with new spaces
After closing in February 2019, London's KOKO venue has announced it'll reopen early next year, complete with new spaces, a late-night pizzeria and more.
The iconic London venue, located near Mornington Crescent tube station, closed its doors in February 2019 to be expanded and refurbished, and nearly a year later it was damaged during a fire.
Now KOKO has announced plans to reopen in spring 2022 after the £70m restoration and redevelopment is complete.
When the venue reopens, it'll introduce new spaces alongside its original venue including a new shop, a late-night pizzeria and tap bar that will host intimate live performances, and the Fly Tower performance space.
The expanded venue will also reopen with a new roof terrace and conservatory, dome cocktail bar, penthouse, recording studio, piano room, library, a hidden speakeasy, stage kitchen and vinyl rooms.
KOKO is also working towards launching its own radio station and foundation next year.
