Loma announce second LP with lead cut "Ocotillo"
Loma, the trio made up of Emily Cross and Dan Duszinsky from Cross Record and Jonathan Meiburg of Shearwater, have announced their second album, Don’t Shy Away, with the lead single "Ocotillo".
"Ocotillo" is the group's first new track since their 2018 guided meditation track "The Rind in Your Mind".
The band says of their new single, ""Ocotillo" is a graceful, spindly plant that flowers extravagantly after rain - but it lives in places where it doesn't rain for months, even years. It's not hard to identify with it."
Don't Shy Away will follow on from Loma's self-titled 2018 debut LP. The new album was produced and recorded by the band at Dandysounds in Dripping Strings, aside from "Homing", which features production from Brian Eno.
The album also features contributions from Emily Lee (piano, violin), Matt Schuessler (bass), and Flock of Dimes/Wye Oak's Jenn Wasner.
