Local Natives get cents-ual on new track "Coins"
Local Natives have shared "Coins", a new single from upcoming record Sunlit Youth.
"Coins" joins up with "Villainy" and "Fountain Of Youth" to preview the group's third album.
“Coming out of Hummingbird, I think we took our time,” says Local Natives' Taylor Rice. “Part of that was to hit a reset, but also the whole process of this new album was very different. We made sure we were connecting to the joyfulness of making music and what inspired us, and we let that lead us. These songs have this outward effusiveness to them. We threw out our band rulebook and tried to push our dynamics and to think differently.”
Sunlit Youth is out 9 September via Infectious/Loma Vista. It's the third part in a trilogy of records, following 2013's Hummingbird and 2010's Gorilla Manor.
