Lizzo gives Mina Lioness a songwriting credit for "Truth Hurts"
Lizzo has granted Mina Lioness a songwriting credit for her "Truth Hurts" song.
Back in August, Mina Lioness revealed that she has tweeted the "I just took a DNA test / Turns out I'm 100% that bitch" line months before "Truth Hurts" dropped.
Apparently Lizzo was planning to print the phrase onto her forthcoming merchandise, including t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, and more.
Lizzo has finally given a songwriting credit to Mina Lioness for her tweet that inspired a meme that Lizzo saw of the line.
Thanking Lizzo on Twitter, Mina Lioness wrote, "I have received nothing but love from her through our communications, so I truly do thank her."

Alongside granting Mina Lioness a songwriting credit on her hit track, Lizzo has also filed a lawsuit against Justin Raisen, Jeremiah Raisen, and Justin "Yves" Rothman.
Pitchfork report that Lizzo is "seeking "a judicial declaration" that the Raisens and Rothman "did not co-author "Truth Hurts"," and have no right to co-own that work or to share in its profits."
Earlier this month Justin and Jeremiah Raisen came forward on Instagram claiming that they should be credited on "Truth Hurts" too. The pair claimed that they wrote a song in 2017 with Lizzo called "Healthy" which had the same melody, chords, and vocals as "Truth Hurts".
