Liverpool Sound City confirms new dates for 2021
Liverpool Sound City has announced new dates for its 2021 festival after the UK government outlined its COVID-19 recovery roadmap at the start of the week.
The 2021 edition of Liverpool Sound City was originally due to take place between 30 April and 2 May, but today (26 February) organisers have moved this year's festival to 1-3 October following Boris Johnson's COVID-19 recovery roadmap announcement earlier this week.
If infection rates and case numbers continue to decrease over the coming months, Boris Johnson hopes to see the end of all "legal limits on social contact" by 21 June, meaning festivals are gearing up for a potential return in late summer.
The Sound City 2021 lineup includes Rejjie Snow, Red Rum Club, The Murder Capital, Lanterns On The Lake, The Snuts, The Lathums, The Mysterines, Abbie Ozard, Brooke Combe, Miss Tati, Hello Delaware and Isabel Neib, with more acts due to be announced soon.

Enjoying amazing new artists in incredible venues is what makes Sound City great, and we’re excited to bring together genre-pushing favourites, thrilling live bands and must-see moments this October. With many more names to be announced, including a special third headliner, finally welcoming everyone back to Sound City is going to be a very special moment. We can’t wait."
